2013 Flower Shows at Luthy Botanical Garden
Lily Show: March 8-31
Step inside our Conservatory this spring and see a botanical wonderland of tropical plants, spring plants and, of course, lilies! See hundreds of these beautiful white flowers, contrasting with the green foliage surrounding them, and experience a Celebration of Spring, which is this year's theme! Our Lily Show always makes a beautiful presentation for families and friends during the spring season. Regular Garden admission applies.
Orchid Show: Sunday, May 12 (Mother's Day)
FREE admission to mothers and grandmothers! Come se our Conservatory's orchid collection, featuring exotic new acquisitions. We will have many beautiful specimens on display, as well as experts on hand with information on their care. Bring your mom, sister, aunt, grandmother or friend to enjoy our Orchid Show on Mother's Day. Regular Garden hours.
Chrysanthemum Show: October 18-November 10
Bring the kids to enjoy a spectacular showing of fall color and let them try to find Jack from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"! Packed with hundreds of mums, this event makes a great escape from the fall chill and offers a peaceful respite before the hectic holiday season begins. The Gift Shop will have selected sale merchandise.
Holiday Poinsettia Show: November 22-December 31
The holiday season would not be complete without a visit to our Conservatory, where our tropical collection blends with hundreds of poinsettias to create a wonderland unmatched in the Peoria area! Visit us to pick out a special gift, get into the holiday spirit or enjoy the festive feeling in the air. Conservatory admission will be waived during the holidays, although donations will be accepted. (The Garden is closed Thanksgiving Day, 11/28 and Christmas Day, 12/25.)
