It
is opening night! “Americana,
Music in the Park” with vocal soloist Cherilee Walker and some of the
best high school band members in the city of Peoria.
Begin June with the sounds of summer and the Municipal Band.

Dr.
Laura Schelly is our vocal soloist this week.
On Wednesday it is “Phantom of the Opera” and then on Sunday
evening emcee Ed Hammond of WMBD leads us through “Dance Steps.”
Wednesday, June 11 & Sunday, June 15 @ 7:30 p.m.
Two
great voices will be heard this week.
Greg Etzel moves from the back of the band to front and Bradley
graduate Rebecca Meyer will entertain you as well.
On Wednesday we celebrate Kamehameha Day so wear your Hawaiian
Shirts. Sunday evening is
Fathers Day and Lee Wenger of WCBU emcees.

Elizabeth Heuermann returns from New York City to Peoria for the week.
Wednesday night we celebrate vinyl “Spinning Records” and then
on Sunday evening we enjoy “The Second Day of Summer” as Bradley
President Joanne Glasser emcees.

Shoppes at Grand Prairie
The
band is “Out About Town” this evening for a one hour performance at
The Shoppes. Join the band and
vocalist Debra Austin at center court and bring along a lawn chair (and
your credit card of course).

We
are back at Glen Oak Park with Laurel Filzen Etzel on horn and our
vocalist Debra Austin. This
evening we will celebrate the 100th birthday of composer Leroy Anderson.

Thursday,
yes Thursday, come join the band, the Morton Civic Chorus led by Denise
Adams and our vocalist, Linden Christ as we present "With Voices
Raised." Come early to
get a good seat and enjoy the spectacular fireworks show. On Sunday
evening we continue with a "Salute to Our Heroes" and celebrity
emcee Chuck Collins of WMBD.

the Peoria Riverfront!
Tonight
we are downtown on the CEFCU stage for a 7:30 p.m. performance and we try
to cool things of with “Let It Snow.”
Easy parking and a great view of the Illinois River will make this
concert a real treat for you to enjoy.
Dirk McGinnis and Rachael Cavallini are our vocalists.
The winner of the John Kamarer Youth Soloist Competition will also
be featured.

The second in three "Out About Town" performances
features the Peoria Municipal Band Mini-Band along with Dirk and Rachael.

of Youth" features the winner of the John Kamarer Youth Soloist
Competition and the members of the Peoria Park District Senior Summer
Band. Both join the band this
evening along with Dirk McGinnis and Rachael Cavallini, our vocal

We are back on the
Illinois River with that beautiful view!
Join vocalists Matt Adams Wenger and
Jennifer Gordon for a touch of Spain we call “Amparito Roca.”
Also featured will be an amazing flute duet by Denise Cooksey and
Angela Loring.

we pay tribute to “The Music Men” including Sousa and his friends.

We had a great
crowd at this venue last summer so come out and enjoy the concert with
your friends. Rebekah and
Randy will be there as we play our final “Out About Town” performance
of the summer.

Lights.” It is our final
riverfront concert of the summer so you will have to attend to see who our

our instrumental soloist on the piccolo and you will have to come to the

“Magical
Music for Children” kicks of the Wednesday performance as Kristin (Bell)
Lelm sings with the band. On
Sunday evening our theme is “As All the Heavens Were A Bell.”
Carl Anderson, trombone, is our featured instrumental soloist.

August 13 & Sunday, August 17@7:30 p.m.
On
the final Wednesday evening concert of the summer we pay tribute to local
composers with our theme of “It Plays in Peoria.”
Sunday evening closes out the season with “Til We Meet Again.”
David Blasco is our featured vocalist and Dawn Clark solos on horn.
Sunday evening Mayor Jim Ardis will be our guest emcee.
