Bradley Dog Park

Located in Bradley Park - south entrance off Park Road (get map)
Open dawn - dusk

Bradley Dog Park is the newest attraction for man's best friend! Well-behaved dogs ages 4 months and up that have current rabies tags and vaccinations are welcome to run and play in this fenced, five-acre arena complete with dog water fountains and waste stations.

For everyone's safety, no children under the age of 12 are allowed in the park, and an adult must supervise children between the ages of 13 and 17.

Bring your four-footed friends to this special park built just for them - but please be sure to familiarize yourself with these rules before you go.

History of the Dog Park

The Park Board of Trustees agreed in 2008 that the Park District would construct a new play area just for dogs if a committee of involved citizens could raise half of the anticipated funds needed for construction.

Thanks to the many of you who contributed via donations, fundraisers, and the sale of commemorative bricks, that fundraising goal was exceeded and the dog park at Bradley Park was constructed.

Estimated Cost:         $60,000
Fencing                     $35,000
Dog water fountains    $6,000
Waste stations           $5,000
Moving water/paving   $12,500
Operational costs       $1,500

A formal grand opening was held on June 13, 2009.

Check out these great photos and a You Tube video of the park and our pals!

Donation from Bissell Puts Fundraising Over the Top!

Meet Brewster, BISSELL Homecare Inc.'s choice in the 2008 "Most Valuable Pet" photo contest. As the grand-prize winners, Brewster’s “parents” received a $10,000 donation from BISSELL to the pet cause of their choice. They selected the Peoria Park District Foundation, which in turn will use the donation to help build the new dog park in Peoria's Bradley Park. This donation in honor of Brewster put the Dog Park fundraising over the top! Many thanks to Brewster and his generous family.
