POTPOURRI' CLASSES - A MIXTURE OF OFFERINGS This boating safety class is offered by the Illinois Valley Power Squadron. It will cover basic types of boats, terms, power systems, operator responsibilities, boat handling, equipment, navigation lights, boat registration rules, aids to navigation, trailering, marine radio and more; all provided in a classroom setting. Family situations can get by with one set of material. Passing an exam provides a certificate. Staging Your Home for Top Dollar -Colleen McLinden Colleen McLinden, an Accredited Staging Professional Master, will show you how to stage your home before you call a realtor or place a sign in your yard. Learn the professional tips, tricks, and techniques that will make your home appeal to the broadest base of potential buyers. Staged homes sell faster, and often for more money.

Dining Etiquette and First Impressions This seminar will help instill the confidence, poise and
increased self-esteem that come with the knowledge and practice of good manners.
Some topics that will be covered include posture, introductions, voice
& grammar, and table manners. Presented by Robin Thompson, author of Be the Best You Can Be, A Guide to Etiquette
and Self-Improvement for Children and Teens.

-Greg Joyce Learn and practice the basic skills of basketball and play a game each class. Taught by an experienced youth basketball instructor, lessons emphasize individual skill development, shooting ability and game play. Suitable for beginners and intermediate players. During games, players are matched by height and ability. Bring your own basketball for skill instruction and shooting practice. A limited number of basketballs will be available at class.
