Computers Made Easy I
Designed for the user who has little or no experience--Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-8 pm at Von Steuben School. Class begins 1/17 or 2/7.
Computers Made Easy II
Designed as a continuation of Computers Made Easy 1, or for the user who is somewhat familiar with how the computer works and is comfortable with using the mouse. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Von Steuben School. Class begins 1/14 or 2/21.
Microsoft Office
This course will cover the basics of three of the most popular components of the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Power Point. Learn how to create basic documents, spreadsheets, and slide presentations. Students should be proficient with the mouse and be comfortable with managing windows. Class starts 2/28 at Von Steuben School.
Microsoft Word
Designed as an intermediate class, students will learn more about formatting documents, creating tables, working with templates, and more. Some familiarity with word processing software would be helpful. Students should be proficient with the mouse. Class starts 2/28 at Von Steuben School
Internet Basics
Let’s explore the World Wide Web ! Students wil learn about URL’s and Search Engines, how to create favorites, search for images, and more. Students should be proficients with mouse and be comfortable with managing Windows. Class starts Tuesday, 3/27 at 6 p.m. Location: Von Steuben School
E-Mail Basics
For those who are interested in having a web-based email account, this course will take you through the basics of setting up and managing one. Students will learn the typical sign-up process, how to compose and email, how to reply to, forward, and delete emails, how to attach a file to an email, and much more. Students should be proficient with the mouse, and be comfortable with managing Windows.
Working with Graphics
For the user who would like to be more creative with their Word documents, this course will teach you how to insert images, pictures, borders, etc. into your newsletters and other projects. Stdents should be proficient with the mouse. Class starts Tuesday, 4/24, 6 p.m. at Von Steuben School.
Microsoft Excel
Designed as an intermediate class, in this Microsoft Excel class students will learn more about creating spreadsheets, formulas, charts, mail merges and more. Familiarity with sreadsheet software would be helpful. Students should be proficient with the mouse. Class starts Tuesday, 5/1, at Von Steuben School.
