At Sommer Park: 691-8423 Sommer Park provides several options for wedding ceremonies and receptions. The charming Pioneer Chapel accommodates up to 60 people. The Pioneer Cabin area provides a wonderful backdrop for your traditional or country wedding. The pond area also offers a truly scenic setting. Our Prairie Shelter is ideal for larger weddings and receptions, or book our Woodland Shelter for a secluded setting. Garden: 686-3362 Have you always dreamed of a beautiful garden wedding and reception? Now is the time to reserve your site for a wedding ceremony everyone will enjoy! You may select one of six areas for your event(s): the Conservatory (inside); Woodland Garden, Crab Apple Cove, Wildlife Garden, The Learning Circle or The Rose Garden, all located outside. At Camp Wokanda: 579-2157 The natural beauty of the hills and valleys of this 276 acre site changes with the seasons and provides many natural settings for your outdoor wedding. The dining hall, with kitchen and new wood dance floor, can serve as indoor/outdoor combination wedding and reception site. The building comfortably seats 250 indoors with a covered front porch to accommodate 40 more. Although the building isn't heated or cooled, it is quite comfortable during moderate seasons. The Gateway Building has become one of the Peoria’s prime banquet facilities along the Riverfront. The Grand Ballroom holds a maximum of 290 guests for a wedding reception you have always dreamed of. We offer a portable dance floor, bar, 3rd floor full-service kitchen, state-of-the-art audio/visual technology, and a convenient location on Peoria’s Riverfront. The full-length walkout balcony offers a scenic view against the backdrop of the beautiful Illinois River. Our staff is always happy to answer any questions regarding your event. The Peoria Park District has a variety of picnic shelters available for rental throughout Peoria. Amenities include baseball fields, playgrounds, restrooms, grills, electricity, fire rings or indoor rentals. We can accommodate groups of any size. Shelters are available year-round and rental fees start as low as $50. Rentals fill quickly–be sure to get your reservation in early.
