Prep Hockey Clinics
Want to play ice hockey but don’t know where to start? Our Prep Hockey Clinics for boys and girls, ages 3-13, provide a perfect opportunity to learn to skate and the basic hockey fundamentals of stick handling, passing, and shooting. You’ll be ready to join a hockey team.
Session One will teach the fundamentals of skating. By learning to skate first participants will have a much more enjoyable time once pucks and stick are introduced. Skates will be provided free of charge. A hockey or bicycle helmet and gloves (hockey or winter) are required. Prerequisite: Must have passed Skating Star level 1.

Session Two will teach hockey skills. To register for this session you must have taken the first session or have passed the Skating Star level 2 or Super Skates level 1. Each skater will be required to wear a HECC certified hockey helmet with mask, shin pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, athletic cup and supporter and have a hockey stick. Skate rental is included, but if you are enjoying the clinics, you should consider purchasing skates to ensure proper fit, quality, and sharpness. Equipment is available at The Edge Pro Shop at Owens Center. Anyone purchasing $100 or more of equipment from The Edge will receive this second session FREE (receipt required).
