SPECIALTY CLASSES

Open to skaters who have completed the ten levels of Owens Center Skating School OR are concurrently participating in Level 8 or above.  These classes run concurrently with Winter and Spring Session dates.

Ice Dancing

Participants of all ages learn basic ice dancing steps, rhythms and dance patterns.  

Jump & Spin

Learn the jumps, spins and connecting moves necessary for freestyle tests.

Adult Skating Sampler

Explore edge work, field moves, stroking techniques, formation‑precision team skating and freestyle or ice dancing.  A sampler of exciting, invigorating fun!

Transitional

Intermediate and advanced introduction to figure skating. The best training ground for transition into the U.S. Figure Skating's test structure. Prerequisite: Level 8. 

ISI Competitive Skating Team

This team consists of ISI skaters interested in striving for fun and excellence! From tots to teens, skaters gain exposure to new challenges throughout the season. There will be an organizational meeting but a date hasn't not been set.  Check back here for updates or check in at the rink.

SPECIAL OFFERS

Booster Packages

A package of private instruction designed to boost a skater through a difficult skill or achieve more rapid advancement.  These lessons are also great for those skaters beginning to test the ISI levels so they may participate in ISI sanctioned events. Students will work on group lesson skills and creating competition programs. For more information call the Skating School at 686-3368.

Six 15-minute lessons with 30 minutes of practice time

            Fee-R/NR: $64/$74

Private Skating Lessons

Our Coordinator of Figure Skating Development heads a staff of highly-qualified professionals. Private figure skating lessons are processed through Tabatha at 686-3353, ext. 1904.

Open/Freestyle

Sessions available to practice skating skills and/or to receive private instruction. Scheduled times are available at the rink or click here.
