Peoria Pops Orchestra
This forty piece orchestra of adult musicians under the direction of conductor James Walker performs light classics, show tunes, Dixieland, pop and more. The orchestra has performed on the Spirit of Peoria, at the State Fair, RiverFront and Peoria Players Theatre. Performances indoors or outdoors are possible, weather permitting. Available year-round, evenings & weekends only, fee is negotiable. Will need a piano. Jared Lonergan is available for your groups or corporate events for demonstrations and mini lessons in ballroom, swing or Latin dancing. Available year-round, evenings & weekends only, fee is negotiable. Will need hard surface floor with room for partners dancing. Let our exotic troup of dancers, under the direction of Thais Banu, take you on a journey through the Middle East performing traditional folk dances from the shores of the Southern Mediterranean and the Nile. Available year-round. Need electricity. High school age actors take imaginative
children’s theatre to the parks and playgrounds of the city and are available
for your group, too. The Players will perform indoors or outdoors, weather
permitting. No stage is necessary—the group carries its own set, costumes and
props. Park Players are perfect for birthday parties. Let the Park Players
entertain and have the guests Great Expectations Show Chorus 2008 These junior high and high school students present a high energy musical show indoors or outdoors. Available June-August; will need electrical outlet.
Students from high school bands throughout the area combine their talents during the summer to perform in the Senior Summer Band and the Jazz Band. The groups entertain with light classics, show tunes, pop and more. Available June-August; fee negotiable.
