Experience the benefits of Yoga in the tranquil setting of Forest Park Nature Center. Instructor: Jean Sloan
Dust off that guitar, fiddle, banjo or other acoustic instrument and bring it down to the Forest Park Nature Center for a jam session. Offered the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.
Listen to Native American flute music or try your hand at playing this beautiful wooden instrument in this River Spirit Flute Circle class on the following Saturdays: 9/21, 10/19, 11/9, 12/21. Beginners classes on 9/7, 10/5, 11/5, 12/7. All classes 1-2 p.m. All ages.
Come to Animal Encounters at the Nature Center on the following Sundays, 11/3, 11/17, 12/1,12/15, 12/29, 1/12 from 1:30-2 p.m. (See schedule of subjects below)/
Don't miss the annual Nature Art Show and Sale Open House at Forest Park. It's Saturday, 11/23, 2-4 p.m. Come meet the artists, enjoy a seasonal beverage, and tour the wonderful artwork of these creative and talented folks! A fine way to kick off the season. A free event for all ages.
As part of your holiday activities, be sure to attend Forest Park's Nature Art Show and Sale, 11/24-12/24. Mon-Sat: 9 am-5 pm, Sun: 1-5 pm

Each year hundreds of bald eagles over-winter in the Illinois River Valley. Join Forest Park Nature Center, Peoria Audubon Society and Wildlife Prairie Park on Saturday, 1/11, 10 a.m., as we celebrate this magnificent bird. This program will feature presentations including a live bald eagle and a tour to view bald eagles in their natural habitat along the river.
Keep your kids learning on their day off from school. Bring them to the Third Annual Reverse Science Fair at the Nature Center on Monday, 1/20, 10 am-2 p.m. Ages: Grade School Fee: $4/child ($3/CORE members)
