Cheap Trick

"Methodist Medical Center - Red, White and Boom!" will be expanding to three days of festivities including two national act concerts. On Thursday, July 3rd, JMP Radio Group together with RiverFront Entertainment welcomes Cheap Trick, one of the most covered bands of all time, to the Festival Park stage on the Peoria RiverFront. Timeless classics like "I Want You To Want Me", "Surrender", and the 80’s lighter waving favorite, "The Flame", make Cheap Trick a musical institution. Cheap Trick, with special guest The Avatars, will play at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm on Thursday, July 3rd. Advance tickets are available at local Co-Op Record Stores for $30. Early Bird tickets are available from May 7 - May 14 for $25. Tickets at the door are $35.

Red, White & Boom - 4th of July Fireworks

On Friday, July 4, the cities of Peoria and East Peoria will come together with JMP Radio Group, Methodist Medical Center, the Peoria Park District, Fondulac Park District, and the Peoria Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to launch more than $60,000 worth of fireworks into the skies over the RiverFront. At Approximately 9:30pm the the pyrotechnics display will light the skies above both sides of the Illinois River with a unique blend of spectacular 4th of July fireworks syncronized to a special musical soundtrack that will be broadcast exclusively on JMP radio group stations.

Diamond Rio

"Methodist Medical Center - Red, White and Boom!" will be expanding to three days of festivities including two national act concerts. On Saturday, July 5, country music heavy-weight Diamond Rio, a band that helped define ’young country’ in the early 90’s, will perform at The Landing on the Peoria RiverFront. Diamond Rio’s rich vocal harmonies are evident in songs like "Meet In The Middle", "In a Week or Two", and "One More Day." Special guest Tin Horse will open for Diamond Rio at the CEFCU Center Stage @ The Landing on July 5th. Doors open at 7pm with the concert starting at 8pm. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk is a two to three mile non-competitive evening walk. The evening celebrates and commemorates those lives touched by cancer. Prior to the walk, teams and individual walkers enjoy live entertainment, food, kids activities, and more. This year’s Peoria Light The Night Walk will take place on Sunday, October 5 on the Peoria Riverfront. However you choose to participate, Light The Night will be an experience you will not forget.
