Pimiteoui Pow Wow
After 20 years, the Return To Pimiteoui committee decided not to continue the Pimiteoui Pow Wow event due to financial constraints and other factors. Sommer Park will continue to include Native American awareness in programming, summer day camp and a newly updated Native American garden. Thanks for all the years of support.

Pioneer Days
Come experience firsthand the daily life of rural Peorians in the mid 19th century! Held the last Sunday of the month: 4/29, 5/27, 6/24, 7/29, 8/26, 9/30 and 10/28. Admission just $2/person, age four and up.
Normandy 1944
Relive the desperate days of Normandy, 1944, a World War II reenactment, on Saturday, June 2 (10 am-4 pm) and Sunday, June 3 (10 am-3 pm) at Sommer Park. Admission $10/car
Sommer Park Star Party
The last Friday of the month -- 6/29, 7/27, 8/31 and 9/28 at 9 pm -- is designated as a Star Party at Sommer Park, held at the Ancient Oaks Daycamp Building for those interested in learning more about astronomy. Donations will be accepted.
