SPECIAL SPORTING EVENTS & TOURNAMENTS

Pitch, Hit and Run Competition

Sunday, May 4
Von Steuben Diamond #3
2:00-4:00 pm • FREE

Pepsi and Major League Baseball PITCH, HIT & RUN is a free national program that gives boys & girls ages 7 to 14 the chance to showcase their baseball abilities.

Skills that will be tested include: Pitch: Throwing a baseball at a designated "Strike Zone" 45 feet away. Hit: Hitting a baseball from a stationary tee, as close as possible to the "center line" (directly away from home plate across second base into center field). Final score is determined from the location the ball initially lands, minus the distance from the "center line." Run: Measuring a competitor’s speed in a sprint from 2nd base to home plate. For details, call Nick McDuffee at 681-2867.
