Youth Tennis Lessons
After Pee Wee Lessons for ages 4-6, Youth tennis lessons are broken up by experience level and age:
- Red (Beginning) Level for ages 6-17
- White (Intermediate) Level for ages 8-17
- Blue (Advanced) Level for ages 11-17
Red Level-Youth Beginners Tennis
Red level teaches grips, court rules, serves, basic strokes and lead-up games to participants with little or no experience. We offer many sessions with different start dates.
Pee Wee Tennis: Ages 4-6
An exciting and fun program that introduces children ages 4-6 to the basics of tennis. Modified equipment is used to bring the game to the level of the players. Sessions begin throughout June and July.
White Level - Youth Intermediate Tennis
White level students should be able to hit a fairly solid forehand, backhand & know serve basics. Game strategy & drills help players advance. We offer many sessions with different start dates.
Blue Level - Youth Advanced Tennis
Blue level students should have solid strokes and be ready to learn advanced strategy. Workouts include concentrated drills & match play.
Sweney Youth Program: Ages 7-14
Come and learn tennis in this exciting program by the Peoria Park District and family of the late Jack Sweney. The lessons are free to all who want to sign-up and include a free t-shirt and equipment for kids who continue to participate.
Evening Youth Tennis
If the weekday classes don’t fit your schedule, come join us on the courts for evening classes beginning 6/14, 7/5, 7/26, and 8/23.
Saturday Youth Tennis
If weekday classes don’t fit your schedule, come join us on the courts for Saturday classes beginning 6/18.
