Camp Wokanda, acquired from W.D. Boyce Council of the Boy Scouts of America, offers a beautiful 316-acre woodland setting, including a lake for fishing. The camp, with dining hall, sleeping cabins, program buildings and tent camping, offers a variety of naturalist tours, environmental education and rental options to groups interested in a secluded, close-to-nature gathering.

To get to this peaceful haven from Peoria, take Route 29 north and turn left on Old Galena Road just north of Route 6. Follow this past Mossville Grade School, then turn left on Boy Scout Road and proceed to the park entrance.

Aside from the Illinois River Bluff Trail, which runs through the property, Camp Wokanda is a facility that is reserved for rental groups and program participants. To arrange a tour of the facilities, please contact the Wokanda staff for an appointment: 686-3360.
