Youth Dance
These classes are a progressive program of dance instruction. A dance revue will be held each April with costumes for any/all students in ballet, tap, jazz and Broadway Bound classes. Students must participate in both fall and winter/spring sessions to participate in the dance revue. (Students in dance lessons do not have to participate in the dance revue.)
DRESS CODE:
• Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Broadway Bound–
Girls: Leotard, tights, ballet and tap shoes
Boys: T-shirt, black tights, shorts or jazz pants, ballet and tap shoes
• Acrobatics & Tumbling–
Leotard, unitard, or sweat pants and gym shoes

Tap, ballet and jazz will be taught in this combination class learning basic steps to fun music. Classes begin 6/3, 6/4, 6/8 and 6/14.
Stretches and tumbling exercises for the beginner, including cartwheels, front and back rolls and headstands. Children must remain seated at the mat during individual instruction time. Classes begin 6/3.
How many ways can you move? Leap...twirl...stretch- to name a few! This class will introduce your child to movement through music and rhythm in a fun environment, while developing your child’s love of moving early on! Class begins 6/3.
Participants must be able to do backbends and pull-ups, front limbers and pull-ups without assistance. They should be ready for front and back walkovers, hand springs and Arabian limbers. PREREQUISITE: BEGINNER II OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR. *No class 7/29. Class begins 6/3.
For those who are ready for flip-flops and aerials. PREREQUISITE: INTERMEDIATE OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR. No class 7/29. Class begins 6/3.

Learn the fundamentals of dance such as rhythm, coordination and creative movement while you prepare for barre work. Classes begin 6/4 and 6/5.
Used as a great body strengthening technique, dancers will learn the fundamentals of hip-hop. This course emphasizes movement, isolations, stretching, strengthening and rhythms. Dancers participate in warm-ups and learn fun routines. Class begins 6/4.
Give your child their first taste of dance in this interactive dancing-jamming parent/child class. Through non-stop activities that include clapping, marching, dancing and jamming you and your child will develop his/her large motor skills and form everlasting bonds. Parent is free. Class begins 6/5.

Come join our cheer and dance teams. Participants aged 6-16 will work on learning skills through cheer technique and tumbling. Dancers will work on improving their skills through strength training, stage presence, flexibility, endurance, and perfecting technique. Perform on July 3 Fireworks show at Amphitheatre and August 17 at Illinois State Fair. Coach: Rachel Hayes. Begins 6/5.

Dance and tumbling class for our youngest Broadway stars! Class covers basic tap, ballet, jazz and tumbling pre-skills to get students ready for formal dance and tumbling class. Students will hop, jump, sway, sing and tumble with fun music and motions specific to the age and attention span of the young child! *No class 7/31.
