Very Beginners, Begin Again and Continuing Students
Have you ever said to yourself: “I’ve always wanted to play the piano”, “I wish I knew a patient and helpful piano teacher”, “I wish I had never quit taking piano lessons. “How do I start again?”, “Should I continue taking lessons? What are the benefits?”. These comments and questions are quite common. Studies have shown that learning and playing piano will benefit you physically and mentally. As adults, we all need to enrich our lives and our minds! Come join the fun, make new friends, and learn a wonderful life-long hobby.
The classes are for all Very Beginners, Begin Again and Continuing Students. All students are taught in a group setting with each student taught individually.

Ages 50+ • Noble Center
$3 drop-in or $25/10-visit punch card
A fun and challenging table game with 3-4 players per table. It teaches skill, strategy and calculation as you exercise your mental muscles and enjoy some fun with friends learning to play this very old, very popular game that originated in China. New and experienced players welcome. This is American style Mah Jongg and not the computer game. Peggy Whaley will be available to instruct new players.
Classic Movies at the Noble Center
Fee: $3 • Each movie starts at 1 pm
Escape for a bit and join us for the movies that entertained you in a simpler time. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry and maybe even feel like dancing. Enjoy complimentary popcorn and beverages while you watch.

NEW! Cooking Classes at Hy-Vee
Katrina Howard, RD, LDN, is the dietitian at the Hy-Vee on Sheridan Road. She is passionate about making nutritious food taste amazing and loves sharing that knowledge. Come to the upstairs club room to learn about a variety of healthy topics. These cooking classes will be fun, interactive and come with food samples to give you an idea of how delicious healthy eating can be.

Learn how to make a reusable tote bag made from recycled plastic grocery bags! We will crochet the totes using “plarn” or plastic yarn. Crochet experience is helpful, but not necessary. All materials will be provided, and participants will be given a crochet hook for completing future projects with this technique.
Natural Basket Weaving

Learn the basics of basket weaving as we make a beautiful basket out of natural materials. No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Nostalgic T-shirt Tote Bags

Do you have old T-Shirts that you don’t wear any more but aren’t ready to part with? Use them to create a tote bag! Bring your T-Shirts, and we will provide instruction and sewing supplies.
Bluebirds in the Park
April 8 ♦ 10:00am-12:00pm♦ $5 ♦ Sommer Park
Learn how to help bluebirds by studying the ones that nest at Sommer Park. Park bluebird monitors will share pictures and data about the resident bluebirds and will also take participants on a short walk to visit some nesting boxes at the park. Participants will also have the option to take home the plans and/or supplies for building their own bluebird nesting box for $5. Please dress appropriately for the weather as we will go rain or shine. This program is sponsored by the generous support of Nena Hardware.
