Justin has had over 10+ years in the Sports Performance/Strength & Conditioning industry working with individuals and teams at the middle school through Division I SEC level. His passion for Sports Performance began in Northwest Iowa where he served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Western Christian High School. He achieved his Bachelors in Exercise Science at Simpson College while serving as an Undergraduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Here he served as the head coach for the Women’s Soccer and Volleyball team, as well as assisting in the remaining 18 teams.

In the summer of 2008, Justin completed an internship with Performance Sport and Speed in Coralville, Iowa, where he gained experience working hand in hand with some of the University of Iowa’s top physical therapists, middle school and high school athletes, as well as collegiate and professional athletes.

His passion became more specialized when attending graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, where he obtained his Masters in Human Performance with a Strength and Conditioning Emphasis. One of only four collegiate universities to offer a graduate program specific to athletic performance. While obtaining his specialized schooling he served as a Graduate Assistant Performance Coach, serving as the Head Coach for the Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, and Softball teams; along with being the Assistant Performance Coach for the schools remaining 15 teams.

After LaCrosse, Justin Completed an internship at the University of Missouri through Mizzou Athletic Performance, assisting with not only the Division I SEC teams, but also in leading the Pro-Player Development program for senior football players preparing for NFL combines and professional careers.

Prior to the RiverPlex, Justin served as an Assistant Sport Performance Coach at Bradley University working with all of the school’s athletic teams and serving as the Head Performance Coach for the Cross Country and Track teams.

Although there are many notable athletes, state tournaments, and conference championships Justin has worked with, there is a reason they are not listed on his resume. His passion for helping athletes reach their full potential is not limited to a certain sport, population, or individual. Whether you are the 4 year starter or a practice player hoping to see time your senior year, our staff will not only help you reach your potential, but unleash it.
